Ukraine Air Rescue • 24. März 2022

On March 24, 2022, three pilots took off from Lille airfield in northern France to deliver medical supplies as part of the Ukraine relief effort. A collaboration of the Blue and Yellow Cross and pilots in Germany, enabled the delivery of urgently needed relief supplies for Ukraine. The pilots (Jean-François Pesla, Olivier Ferlin, Steven Luys) took off from Lille - then refueled in Erfurt.

Afterwards, delivery was made on time at the Polish base in Rzeszów.

Thus, the first European mission of Ukraine Air Rescue was successfully completed!

12. Juli 2023
12th July 2023, Ukraine Air Rescue pilots completed a special mission that has the potential to save 355 lives with medical backpacks from Blau Gelbes Kreuz e.V. and water filters providing drinking water for up to 7.200 people per day. With this flight UAR has flown the backpack number 1.000 !!! On top of this accomplishment, we also had an opportunity to fly a child suffering from cancer to Switzerland where he is now receiving treatment at a specialist hospital, reducing his risk of infection by avoiding commercial flight and long ground transportation trips across Europe's borders during these uncertain times. We are proud supporters of NGO " St Jude - SAFER UKRAINE " which made sure all necessary paperwork was quickly processed so that we could get transport him safely without any delays or complications along the way! This was the child’s first flight. Pilot: "This young guy is bright and happy. He told me that he wants to become a pilot! Thank you all!" UAR Flight-Ops: "That is wonderful to hear. Maybe in future we can fly him back and give him a flying lesson!!" Pilot : "As many lessons as he needs! I hope he calls us soon." Volunteerism can have tremendous positive impacts on local communities around Ukraine Air Rescue – whether it’s providing essential supplies or offering much needed emotional support during difficult times like these when people need them most. We thank everyone once again who contributed to make this possible! The success of this mission was due largely to the generous support of numerous volunteers, NGOs, and sponsors who provided financial resources as well as moral support throughout. Without your help, it would have been impossible for us to deliver these missions. THANK YOU TO ALL SUPPORTERS! Every donation counts: https://www.ukraine-air-rescue.de/en/donations
